Pastor Harlan Morgan was born November 29, 1972 in Renton, Washington to Rev. and Mrs. Walter Morgan. During the early years of Pastor Morgan's life, the family lived in Washington, Wyoming, and Kansas, where Pastor Morgan's father was instrumental in the establishment of several churches, including starting a church with only the Morgan family in Chanute, Kansas in 1980. Upon returning to Louisiana in the mid-80's, Elder Morgan assumed the pastorate of Lunita Pentecostal Church and remained in that position until his retirement.

Being raised in the home of a pastor, Pastor Morgan began playing musical instruments, singing, and teaching Sunday School at an early age. In 1991, while a freshman at McNeese State University, Pastor Morgan accepted his call to the ministry and began preaching youth services and weekend revivals.
In 1995, Pastor Morgan married Sharla Chamberlain of Moss Bluff, Louisiana, and on December 31, 1996, the couple launched into full-time ministry. During the next 15 years, the Morgans served in various capacities of ministry. In addition to serving as assistant pastor in two churches, Bro. Morgan pastored Atmore Apostolic Church in Atmore, Alabama, and the couple traveled extensively for nearly five years, preaching revivals across the United States and in Canada.

On November 17, 2012, Rev. Harlan Morgan accepted the call to pastor First Pentecostal Church in Sulphur. Since that time, God has blessed the church with spiritual and numerical growth!
Pastor Morgan is a man of strong conviction for truth and holiness and a deep love and burden for people. His desire is to possess the favor of God, enjoy the continual blessing of God's presence in the lives of the families and guests of First Pentecostal Church of Sulphur, and show the way of salvation to those who are lost.

Sis. Sharla Morgan was born November 8, 1972 to Sam and Tabbie Chamberlain of Lake Charles, Louisiana. At an early age, Sis. Morgan and her family moved to Moss Bluff, Louisiana, where she attended Moss Bluff Elementary, Middle, and Sam Houston High School. Upon graduation, Sis. Morgan worked for Hibernia Bank in Lake Charles and Sulphur. The family attended Moss Bluff Pentecostal Church.

In the fall of 1993, a beginning preacher's fellowship meeting was held in Fields, Louisiana, and the Moss Bluff youth group attended the service. Rev. Harlan Morgan was preaching that evening, the two met and began dating shortly thereafter, and on June 10, 1995, they were married.
